Facebook Fans???

So, after I got an invite to be facebook friends with my 50-something Bishop I decided it was time to jump on the bandwagon and join. I think I might be the last person on the planet to do so. I always assumed that facebook was for people looking for a relationship and definitely not for marrieds. But, after signing on last night I have found tons of my married and single friends. What is really crazy is that people I know from completely different times and places are somehow mysteriously connected. I find this intriguing. (Why is everyone in the world friends with Matt Anderson? I don't mean that in a rude way, Matt is great, but how does he know everyone?)

There are a couple of things that I find kind of disturbing about facebook. It appears to me that it is kind of a contest for who has the most friends. Some of my friends have 700-800 friends. Seriously? Who really has that many friends? I don't even know that many people. Am I destined to be a facebook loser?

There really is no point to this post, but I am wondering, what is the point of facebook? (Besides being entertaining and sucking up a large portion of my spare time today.) If there are any big facebook fans out there, please explain the phenomenon to me.

Also, please send me a friend invite :)

Happy Birthday Marina Mae!!!

Happy Birthday little angel! I can't believe you are already one year old. I am so lucky to be the mommy of the most beautiful, smartest, sweetest, funnest little girl in the world. You are cute even when you are being naughty! (like when you shake your head "no" as you dump all your food off your tray, or throw yourself on the floor and throw a full on tantrum) Thanks for being my little buddy. I hope you had a great birthday.

For Marina's birthday we had all her little friends over to my mom's house for a party. My mom was so great to let us have the party there. She even tracked down lots of high chairs from all her neighbors. It sure made feeding all the kids easier!

Thanks to everyone for all of the cute toys that Marina got. She loved opening her presents and is still loving playing with all of her toys. Branden and I realized a few weeks before her birthday that we have not bought her any toys this whole last year. So now our family room is full of toys and she thinks it is Disneyland at our house.

Here is Marina's little buddy Ryan, who is just a couple of weeks older than her. Aren't the hats adorable? Marina amazingly kept hers on for most of the party!

And here is Marina's boyfriend Jackson. I think she has a crush on him because she always follows him around and she often tries to kiss him. He is literally the boy next door so I think we are going to have to keep an eye on those two!

Happy Birthday Marina. We love you!

Happy Halloween

This is late but happy Halloween everyone! Of course, this is a favorite holiday for me, but this year was one of my best Halloweens ever!

We started out a few weeks early with a family trip to the pumpkin patch. Marina loved it. She thought the pumpkins were so fun to look at and bang with her hand. She also loved riding around in the wheel barrow.

It's hard to believe that Jackson is only six months older than Marina, he makes her look tiny!

Halloween night we dressed up and went trick or treating with Marina's neighborhood friends. She was Snow White, I was her fairy godmother and Branden was Prince Charming. He was a very good sport to dress up again.

It was so fun being able to take Marina trick or treating and I can't wait for next year!
