Spot the VIP!

Can anyone spot the important, famous person in this photo? We will reveal the identity as soon as Branden gets around to doing the post about the Jazz game. TIP: Click on the photo to enlarge it.

Her First Birthday Party!!!

Just to clarify, this was not Marina's first birthday, but it was the first time she attended a birthday party. The party was so adorable! Marina's favorite girl friend, Sadie, turned one year old. Her cute mom, Rebecca, had cupcakes that looked like flowers, party hats and little goodie bags for the kids. She has set the standard high for all of the other kids' birthday parties. For more pictures see Rebecca's blog.

Happy Easter!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend! We will be in Burley, Idaho for a holiday with all Marina's cousins. I am sure there will be lots more pictures to come.

p.s. Thanks for the inspiration Laura! I bought the ears after I saw your super cute pics of Bos.

Marina Update

Then & Now
4 Days vs. 4 Months

Last night I watched some video footage of Marina when she was only a few weeks old. I can't believe how much she has grown up. Ok, she hasn't gotten gigantic like some babies. In fact, Marina was only in the 45th percentile for weight at her last visit. But she has definitely grown in personality. She is like a tiny person. So for those of you who haven't seen Miss Mae in awhile, this is what she is up to:

Eating Rice Cereal!
She actually likes it a lot better than the picture lets on. This was her first taste and she wasn't quite sure what to think. Now she LOVES to sit in her "big girl" high chair and eat her cereal. She eats it all in a couple of minutes and then wants more.

Doing her Stretches!
Ok, she actually only does this when Branden or I bring her toes to her hands until she grabs on, but we think it is really cute.

Standing up!
Obviously she needs a little help, but she loves to stand up. If we lay her down on her back then she will grunt and lift her head off the ground, trying to get up. If only she loved tummy time as much as she loves standing, she would be crawling around the house by now.

I also wanted to post a video of her chatting with me, but I can't seem to figure out how to make that work. Any tips? Thanks!

Here Come the Brides...

Pretty much everyone who reads this (or just sees the photos) will assume that my friends and I are insane. However, I think we are pretty cool. I am so lucky to have such wonderful, fun and crazy girls to hang out with!

We often have fun "play dates" together, but today was the most memorable one so far. We decided that we really wanted to watch each other's wedding videos. It was hilarious to see the old pictures of my friends and their husbands (nice tan Kipp). The videos were all beautiful!
But what wedding-video-watching-party would be complete without dressing up in our old wedding dresses (FRIENDS style)? We have all been married for 2-4 years and we all have
new-ish babies, so I was very proud that we all fit into our dresses. They were lovely! What a waste it would be to just keep them in the closet forever.

So if you think we are nuts (like the delivery guy did when he came to deliver our pizza and we opened the door to reveal five brides holding their babies) that is just fine. But I highly recommend having a wedding party. And I hope you are all lucky enough to have wonderful friends like mine who are willing to try something silly.
